One-Sun Lee’s Bio

Dr. One-Sun Lee is a distinguished computational chemist renowned for his expertise in molecular modeling and the AI-driven prediction of self-assembled structures in large molecules such as proteins and polymers. Throughout his career career spanning multiple prestigious institutions, Dr. Lee has significantly advanced the fields of computational chemistry and molecular simulation. Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from Seoul National University, where he focused on the development of molecular models and their applications in materials science. During his postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University in the USA, he honed his expertise in molecular dynamics and advanced computational techniques, contributing to cutting-edge research in the field.

He later joined the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, where his research centered on creating molecular models for desalination processes—a critical field addressing global water sustainability challenges. Following this, Dr. Lee took on a prominent role at the Center for Interdisciplinary Biosciences in Košice, Slovakia, where his work emphasized protein design and ligand interaction.
